This photo was taken in Luang Prabang, Laos.
The funeral chapel in the photo is located inside the Wat Xieng Thong (or Temple of the Golden City) grounds. It is one of over twenty structures on the grounds including a sim, shrines, pavilions, and residences, in addition to its gardens of various flowers, ornamental shrubs, and trees.
This photo is a combination of 3 exposures (HDR) and in order to make the chapel gold color stand out more, I went with selective color and removed the blue from the sky, and lowered the greens of the trees. I think it did the trick and also added some “drama” to the photo which is the result I was looking for.
