Angkor Wat Reflection

photobek 04465

This photo was shot in Angkor Wat, Cambodia.

Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world and one of the most visited attractions in south east Asia (if not the world). While visiting there I decided to get off the main path that leads to the temple from the main gate and walk around to see if I can find some interesting compositions.

While wandering around I found a pool and was able to get this shot with the reflection of the temple along with the stormy clouds. Pretty gloomy feeling to the image but that was also the feeling while taking it.

I didn’t have my wide-angle lens at the time of taking this photo but if I did I would probably go much closer to the pool and making the most out of the great depth of field you can get with a wide-angle lens.

Next time I’m there I will surely check it out 🙂
